Privacy Policy — OpsGrip Pulse

Effective date: August 2, 2026

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Opsgrip LLC ("OpsGrip," "we," "us," or "our") operates the OpsGrip Pulse mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers the OpsGrip Pulse mobile app specifically. OpsGrip also operates a separate website and web application at opsgrip.com, which has its own privacy policy; this policy governs the mobile app.

We built OpsGrip Pulse for IT professionals who manage infrastructure, and we designed it so that the most sensitive thing you handle — the credentials to your servers and devices — never leaves your phone. This policy describes that design honestly and in detail.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to anyone who uses the OpsGrip Pulse mobile app. If you use the App as part of a team or organization, the account owner administers that organization, and this policy applies to the personal information we process about you.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, Supabase). If you join or create an organization, we associate your account with that organization and a role (such as owner or member).

Content you create in the App. To provide monitoring, diagnostics, and remote-fix features, we store the operational data you enter, such as: the labels, hostnames, and IP addresses of the monitors and hosts you track; your device inventory, including any photos you choose to attach to it; command snippets you save; monitoring configuration and results; renewal records; the alert channels you configure (such as notification email addresses or webhook URLs); and your interactions with the built-in playbook library. This information describes the systems you manage, and is stored so your team can share it. It is held in our database (Supabase).

SSH credentials — stored only on your device. See Section 4. In short: the passwords and private keys you use to connect to your own servers are stored exclusively in your device's secure hardware storage and are never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.

Command audit records. When you run a command through the Fix feature, we record metadata about that action for security and accountability. See Section 5 for exactly what this does and does not include.

Device and technical information. We collect a push-notification token so we can send you the alerts you have enabled. On Android, push delivery is routed through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, which is used solely to deliver notifications, not for analytics. We do not use any third-party crash-reporting, analytics, session-replay, advertising, or attribution SDK in the App.

Subscription and purchase information. If you buy a paid subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and entitlement status is managed by our subscription provider, RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your subscription tier and status, but we do not receive or store your full payment card number. See Section 6.

AI-assisted features. If we offer, and you choose to use, AI-assisted help within the App, the question or text you submit is sent to our third-party AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. We do not include your stored credentials in these requests, and the AI features never execute anything on your systems. See Section 7.

We do not collect information from sources other than you and your use of the App, and we do not buy personal information about you.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to: provide, maintain, and operate the App; authenticate you and secure your account; deliver alerts and notifications you have enabled; maintain the audit trail that lets teams see what was run and by whom; provide customer support; process and manage subscriptions; detect, prevent, and investigate abuse or security incidents; comply with legal obligations; and improve the App.

We use your information to operate OpsGrip Pulse — not to build advertising profiles. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. How your SSH credentials are handled

This is central to how OpsGrip Pulse is built, so we state it plainly.

The passwords, private keys, and passphrases you use to connect to your servers and devices are stored only on your device, inside the operating system's dedicated secure storage — the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore. These secrets:

Because these credentials live only on your device, they are protected by your device's own security (such as your passcode and biometric lock), and if you remove the App or the credential, that secret is gone. We cannot retrieve, reset, or recover it for you, because we never had it.

5. The command audit trail — what it records

When you run a command through the Fix feature, OpsGrip creates an append-only audit record so that you and your team have an accurate, tamper-resistant history of privileged actions. Each record includes information such as: the host label and target you acted on, the command text, its risk classification, the outcome and exit status, who ran it, and timestamps.

The audit trail is deliberately built to exclude sensitive data. It does not contain the credentials used, and it does not contain the output of the command. These exclusions are structural, not optional. The audit records are stored on our backend so that authorized members of your organization can review them according to your plan.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, subject to their terms. Payment is charged to your store account, and those platforms handle your payment method. To manage entitlements across devices and platforms, we use a third-party subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, which tells us your current plan and subscription status.

We receive information such as your subscription tier, status (active, expired, in trial), and platform. RevenueCat also processes standard technical data associated with the purchase — such as your platform, app version, and a device identifier (for example, the iOS identifier-for-vendor) — to attribute and validate the subscription. We do not receive your full credit or debit card number.

7. AI-assisted features

If you use any AI-assisted feature we make available (for example, an assistant that can answer IT questions or suggest a command), the text you submit is sent to our third-party AI model provider, Anthropic, to generate a response, and the response is returned to you. Two commitments apply:

  1. No credentials are shared. Your stored SSH credentials are never included in AI requests.
  2. No autonomous action. AI features can only return text to you. They cannot and do not run commands on your systems. Any suggested command must be carried by you into the Fix feature and run deliberately by you, through the App's normal safeguards.

We do not permit our AI provider to use your submitted content to train their general models.

8. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App, and only as needed. These include:

These providers process information on our behalf under agreements that limit their use of it. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or OpsGrip. If OpsGrip is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

We do not sell your personal information.

9. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App. Operational content (such as monitors and hosts) persists until you or your organization owner deletes it. Audit records are retained as part of your organization's security history. We retain certain information for longer where required for legal, tax, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security on our backend, restricted administrative access, and the on-device credential design described in Section 4. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but protecting your data — and keeping your most sensitive secrets off our servers entirely — is a core part of how the product is designed.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights by contacting support@opsgrip.com, and we will respond as required by applicable law. You may also:

For residents of California, the EEA, the UK, and other regions with specific privacy laws, we honor the rights those laws provide, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Children's privacy

OpsGrip Pulse is a professional tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. International users

OpsGrip is based in the United States, and we process and store information in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
